چکیده

The knowledge of the optical properties biological tissues in a wide spectral range is highly important for development noninvasive diagnostic or treatment procedures. absorption coefficient one those properties, from which various information about tissue components can be retrieved. Using transmittance and reflectance measurements acquired ex vivo rabbit brain cortex samples allowed to calculate its ultraviolet near infrared range. Melanin lipofuscin, two pigments that are related aging cells were identified absorption. By subtracting these cortex, it was possible evaluate true ratios DNA/RNA hemoglobin bands cortex—12.33-fold (at 260 nm), 12.02-fold 411 nm) 4.47-fold 555 nm). Since melanin lipofuscin accumulation increases with degeneration neurons their death, further studies should performed evolution pigment brain, so new methods developed aid diagnosis monitoring diseases.
